ANIMATION LAB
Animation Lab is a free summer program for NYC youth ages 14–19 who want to learn animation from the ground up. Over four weeks, you'll explore 2D and 3D animation, storytelling through movement and design, and get hands-on experience with industry tools.
When: Mondays–Thursdays, July 6–31, 10:00 AM–3:30 PM

INTRO TO BROADCAST JOURNALISM
Introduction to Broadcast Journalism is a free summer program for NYC youth ages 16–19 who want to tell stories that matter. Over four weeks, you'll learn to research, report, film, and edit news segments — building real skills in on-camera presence, interviewing, and storytelling along the way. No prior experience required, just curiosity and a point of view.
When: Mondays–Thursdays, July 6–31, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

SUPPORTED EXPERIMENTAL LAB
The Reel Works Supported Experimental Lab is a free filmmaking workshop for neurodivergent NYC students ages 15–21. Over three weeks, you'll write, shoot, direct, and edit your own experimental short film — exploring the stories and subjects that matter to you, with community support every step of the way.
When: Tuesdays–Thursdays, July 7–31, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

Film School Friday
A space to learn, create, and connect.
Film School Friday is a weekly drop-in at Reel Works where young filmmakers come together for hands-on support, skill-building, and community.
