The Narrative Lab
WRITE & DIRECT A MOVIE!
The Narrative Lab is a free after-school program where NYC teens bring their stories to life on screen. Over four months, participants learn the craft of screenwriting, producing, cinematography, editing, and sound — then create their own original short films from start to finish.
Students are matched 1:1 with professional filmmaker-mentors who guide them through every stage of the process. The program culminates in a public premiere at the Reel Works Film Festival, where family, friends, and the film community celebrate the next generation of storytellers.
