Reel Works Master Classes connect young filmmakers with preeminent creators and craftspeople in the entertainment industry.

Launched in the spring of 2020 in partnership with The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Reel Works Master Classes create a live, interactive virtual classroom where students can learn about the craft of film storytelling and how leading actors, directors, producers, writers, editors, and craftspeople discovered their passion and got their start.

This is a space where our guests can inspire the next generation of storytellers to harness their talents to change the face of the industry.

FEATURING

Lead A Master Class

By sharing your story and your passion for what you do - you can open up worlds for young people and deepen their understanding of the art of filmmaking and pathways to careers.

Students are teen and young adult filmmakers enrolled in Reel Works and youth filmmaking programs in schools and community organizations across the country.

Master Classes are offered live once a month on weekdays after school on Zoom. Reel Works staff works with guests to plan the lesson in advance, provide A/V support and class management during the workshops.

With permission, classes are recorded and archived on our website to inspire future filmmakers.
