2016 Reel Works in Schools

(5:36)

Blackbird is about our oppression as black girls, which turns into appreciation for black girls. The pictures are an example of how black girls are perceived and how they actually are, how black girls are discriminated against, and the interviews from black men and women express their feelings toward black girls.
